Read Our 2026-27 Welcome Back Letter

Dear Farber Community,

As we close this remarkable school year, we wanted to celebrate the incredible learning, growth, and community impact our students and staff have created together.

 

Civic Engagement Leading the District

Farber earned #1 in Fresno Unified for State Seals of Civic Engagement with 92 seals earned this year. Nearly double last year's count. Students tackled real community challenges including food insecurity, mental health, environmental conservation, and social justice. Senior Estrella Reynaga presented our Food Insecurity Project at the Fresno County Project Showcase, while junior Gema Guevara Gutierrez inspired us all by writing to Governor Newsom, and received a response from his office acknowledging her thoughtful engagement.

 

Innovation & Deeper Learning

Our teachers embraced powerful instructional strategies and tools. Six educators completed advanced EdTech training and are now mentoring colleagues. We're launching our first AVID section this fall. And across classrooms from Vietnam War research projects to creation story assignments to civic engagement explorations, students are engaging with authentic, meaningful work that connects to real-world challenges.

 

Career & Real-World Impact

Our Logistics Program has distributed 181,987 pounds of food, served over 1,500 households, and prepared 6,500+ backpacks for elementary students. Students applied industry practices to real logistics challenges and earned job opportunities through partnerships with Lyons Magnus, Gap Pacific, and Amazon. Multimedia students created professional content, and Public Services students visited the First Responders Campus for hands-on career exploration.

 

Community & Culture

From Senior Prom to Mental Health Awareness activities to our Wolf Connection field trip, our campus celebrated together. We're grateful for our community partners, industry leaders, and families who made this year possible.

 

Looking Ahead
